THE THIRD International Conference on COMmunication System softWAre and MiddlewaRE (COMSWARE) will be held in Bangalore, India in January 2008 following the successful first and second COMSWARE. COMSWARE is a premier international conference dedicated to addressing emerging topics and challenges in Communications Software. The goal of the conference is to create a world-class gathering of researchers from academia and industry, practitioners, business leaders, intellectual property experts and venture capitalists, providing a launch pad for new innovative business and technology.
The conference will include a highly selective technical program consisting of regular papers, short papers, and posters as well as specialized tracks at the intersection of business and technology. Focused workshops, tutorials and panel discussions will be held on emerging topics to allow for a lively exchange of ideas. International business and government leaders will be invited to share their perspectives, complementing the technical program.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINE
Paper Submission Instructions
Only original papers that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere can be submitted. Full papers are required for review.
Authors MUST submit their papers through the EDAS web site at http://edas.info/5573 in three steps:
- Creation of a personal account on EDAS ( if the author does not already have one)
- Registration of the paper (requiring a short abstract of up to 150 words)
- Upload of the paper. Only in pdf format
Papers should be written in English. Papers can be submitted as either regular or short papers. Authors must specify which type of paper they are submitting.
Regular papers: Preferred maximum paper length is 8 printed pages including figures. Accepted papers that are longer than 8 pages will be charged with an overlength fee for the 9th and 10th pages. Under no circumstances may any submission exceed 10 pages. Papers in excess of 10 pages shall not be considered for review or publication.
Short papers: Maximum length is 4 printed pages including figures, with no exceptions. Papers in excess of 4 pages shall not be considered for review or publication, and will not be considered for review as regular papers.
Use the sample manuscript as a visual aid for formatting.
The authors of accepted papers must guarantee that their paper will be presented at the conference. At least one author of each accepted paper must be registered for the conference in order for that paper to appear in the proceedings and to be scheduled for presentation.
Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings published by IEEE. An accepted paper will be presented in either an oral presentation session or a poster session. Irrespective of the presentation type, a full version of the paper will be published.
