  • Arada Systems, Bangalore
Wireless access in Vehicular environments – WAVE
Demonstration of a High Bandwidth Application over WiFi connection with IEEE 802.11P, and IEEE P 1609 (Wave) protocols. IEEE 802.11 enabled WiFi devices, present in the personal computing devices, communicate with each other after standard authentication, and association procedures. But, consider deploying these devices in a high speed moving automobile, wherein the communication environment rapidly changes, and the transactions have to be completed in shorter time. IEEE 802.11p (Wireless access in Vehicular environments – WAVE) amendment attempts to solve this problem of deploying WiFi devices in vehicular environments

  • Aricent, Bangalore
Demo of Converged Access Software solution.
  • IBM, Bangalore
Demo of a light weight, telephone based interface for voice enabled Anywhere Systems Management, TalktoME. The concept of this demonstration centers around the idea of Voice based proactive systems management. Remote systems management is a major business for most IT service vendors. They usually have to satisfy the stringent requirements of supporting the IT infrastructure of customers on a 24x7 basis.
  • Infosys, Bangalore
    Elixir
: A framework for application development in Wireless Sensor Network.
The current state of art in wireless sensor network does not support a typical IT developer to develop end application easily. Elixir is a framework, which extract the information from physical wireless sensor network and creates a virtual sensor network at the server side.
  • Intel, Bangalore
Final version of the demo write up is awaited.
  • LSI Research (India) Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore
The demo would feature a prototype of the Next Generation Gateway Device. The gateway device is built around LSI’s Network processor. It is typically situated at the edge of a home or office network, acting as the interface to the external world. The demo will demonstrate the performance of the Gateway when handling voice, video and data traffic simultaneously.
  • Motorola, Hyderabad
OS Hardening: Windows Hardening Tool (WHT) as a Case Study. Operating system hardening is a step by step process of securely configuring a system to protect it against unauthorized access. System hardening is necessary since "out of the box" Operating systems tend to be designed primarily to be easy to use rather than secure. So, by hardening the systems we can have all the security measures enabled that will make them suitable for high security. Also, it is desirable to achieve commonality in the way hardening is implemented on Motorola Products that use Linux / Windows (with a later goal to drive into other Motorola businesses).
  • Sasken, Bangalore
